Job Title
Staff Accountant
Position Objective
Responsible to maintain a well-organized and accurate accounts payable operation in a courteous, prompt, accurate and efficient manner, manage fixed assets and assist with accounts receivable. Also understand and support Bonneville's vision statement as well as preserve and incorporate Bonneville's core values and mission into daily professional life.
Position Requirements
1.Input approved vendor invoices and check requests into computer for payment.
2.Take advantage of vendor discounts.
3.Issue and input manual checks into computer, before monthly A/P closes.
4.Insure all large vendor invoices are obtained and input previously to A/P monthly closes.
5.Scrutinize invoices and check requests for reasonableness and proper account numbers to insure that company policy are followed. Any exceptions should be brought to the attention of management.
6.Make sure sales tax laws are followed.
7.Fill out any requests for tax or federal I.D. numbers. Make sure social security numbers are obtained from vendors for 1099 purposes. Review 1099 reports at year end.
8.Maintain proper security over blank checks.
9.Request return of checks from BIC as needed.
10.Vendor must be paid promptly enough to avoid late penalty charges, but slow enough to maintain good cash flow.
11.Provide financial information to employees, department heads and vendors as needed.
12.Must be familiar with general ledger and budgeted account numbers so invoices can be properly allocated.
13.Process and allocate telephone bills for account allocation and payment.
14.Process and allocate various bills (gas, freight, DMBA, parking, etc.) for payment.
15.Prepare journal entries to record travel advances.
16.Input the daily cash payments into the accounts receivable software.
17.Insure cash balances daily.
18.Process the fixed assets each month.
19.Prepare the monthly and quarterly fixed asset reports.
20.Manage the physical inventories including maintaining fixed asset disposals on a monthly basis.
21.Cross-train the Credit Manager position to handle all responsibilities.
22.Keep filing up-to-date as needed.
23.Handle matters in a confidential manner.
24.Work unsupervised, be a self-starter and self-organizer.
25.Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
26.Work effectively in a team environment.
27.Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients.
28.Consistently works hours required. Works more when required to meet deadlines including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.
29.Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
30.Personal growth and development.
31.Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
•Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
•Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
•Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
